For The Love of God…

I saw Saban on TV at a Bama basketball game. He is starting to get that old man stare like he didn’t know where he was. I imagine they will prop him up on the sidelines like they did the bear for several years before they let him quit.
We know where we are. We're just trying not to stare at your wife.

Actually it was worse than that. Georgia pulled starters end of the 3rd quarter. The backups scored 2 more. TCU had their starters in till pretty much the bitter end. TCUs coach should be fired for putting those Seniors in danger for no reason. Duggan and Emmarcado were still in getting their heads caved in.
I know TCU beat them. But it's hard not to think Michigan would have faired, at least a little better.

That was embarrassing.. I did get some sleep through the game though so it wasn't all bad. TCU should of been the 4 seed so that flogging should of happened 11 days ago.

So @sjt18 shy did the team that has the more blue chip players absolutely annihilate the team that had way more 3*? I mean it doesn’t really make sense. You know because stara don’t matter right?
Did the team with 30+ ranked talent make it to the finals beating the teams with the 6th, 9th, and 13th most talent along the way? You claim that the rankings are an absolute predictor. Those things should NEVER have occurred if you are right. The #32 team made it to the finals of the CFP.

I have never denied btw that UGA, Bama, OSU, and Clemson in particular have a lot of talent, have I? But those aren't the only 4 teams that get ranked. And they DO NOT have talent because the recruiting sites gave them a high score. They have talent because they have coaches who can find, sign, and develop talented players... who would do so if the recruiting sites didn't exist.

ESPN is just like every other liberal media outlet, they make the story then report it, TCU was their darling this year, probably will be Colorado next year, they will create a narrative just like they did for Charles Woodson, it's been happening quite a while. I'm happy Sonny Dykes got a fist in his mouth altho I'm unhappy Georgia was the one to do it.

To be fair they promoted Hendon and even after the injury as being one of the top 4 to NYC.

I thought OSU had a bad day verses Michigan. Now I believe that even more.
OSU has the talent to beat anyone in the country, but so does Texas A&M and look how their season went.

Unfortunately, TCU deserved to be there. The B1G is the most overhyped conference in the country. The Big XII is tougher. OSU played a bunch of cupcakes all year and when it was their turn to finally play someone of value, they completely crapped the bed. The Big XII isn’t a good conference talentwise in comparison to us, but unlike the other conferences, it has parity. They have a lot of mediocre teams, but they don’t have a bunch of teams that are so inferior talentwise that they can’t compete like the B1G did this year (Rutgers, Northwestern, Indiana, and Nebraska were so bad they couldn’t win the Mtn West or Sun Belt this year).

Was TCU one of the four best teams in the country? Not even close. Did they deserve to be there? Unfortunately yes they did. Scrapping the BCS system brought this on. You are going to have injuries as well as flukes like TCU/Michigan, but you can’t take too much out of a single game and people are giving OSU too much credit. The month layoff always produces weird results in the playoff and allowed UGA to get tuned back in for the TCU game.

"TCU is the greatest team ever Sir!!"

Sincerely,
ESPN
“They were at an unfair disadvantage after a grueling conference championship game, followed by having to overcome the juggernaut that is Michigan, they simply didn’t have any gas left in the tank; this game is in no way a reflection of the capabilities of this phenomenal, phenomenal team out of the humbly proud city of Fort Worth, TX Texas Christian University.”

- ESPN

(Side note, since it was ESPN, I couldn’t help but throw in the humbly proud oxymoron…)

Can the media stop obsessing over the Big Ten & Big 12 now?

TCU looks totally outmatched against an SEC opponent in the National Title game.

Heupel would have smoked this TCU team by three scores or more.

This is why strength of schedule matters.

Would you neglect ¾ off your market share for the sake of the sense of accuracy? Remember the sports media is an ENTERTAINMENT business that only needs the presumption of fairness in order to keep the eyeballs on those ads which pay them handsomely in millions. Thus the E in ESPN ya know.

Little 12 more like it. Sec is where competition lives and then Big 10 is next. But the gap is wide

Y’all realize UGA put this same beat down on us right? Except the weather was bad so they played conservatively for the entire 2nd half. Georgia is just better, and this title isn’t gonna help us close that gap

I’m sick of people saying that a 14 point loss is the same as a 40+ point loss. We also heard it when the playoff committee said UT’s loss to UGA was similar to Oregon’s 49-3 loss. Absolutely ridiculous.

Having watched college football since the 70s, I can tell you they will never get tired of sunshine pumping the Big-10. Nearly all are anti-SEC because they think we're a bunch of racists. Not. Going. To. Change.
