We beat Arkansas State by 21. 6 more points than we beat them today, and they scored 27 points on us in that game.

We were 10-4, won the SEC East, and won the Outback Bowl in 2007.

Calm your tits everyone.

Cue the "so you're telling me there's a chance" gif.

That 2007 team really wasn't that good. The defense was god-awful almost the entire season. They got lucky in several games (South Carolina, Vandy, and UK). Yes, they played very well against Arky and UGA, but those teams also played very crappy those days. We were about 2 or 3 plays away from a 6-6 season that year. We were about 2 or 3 plays away from a 7-5 season last year. Luck plays a huge factor in college football. Let's hope we get some of that luck back this year.

That's seven years ago, three coaches, and a completely different team.

We have the absolute dumbest fan base in the world for people to be upset over being 2-0 and outscoring our first 2 opponents 72-26, all the while playing 20 something freshmen with 0 returners on both lines of scrimmage. I wouldn't blame Butch for leaving at some point for the simple reason of "I can't please these idiots no matter what I do". Finebaum looks like the smartest guy in the room today.

Lol ain't that the truth? 6-6 is a win this year no matter how you slice it.

I don't know where you got the 4 losses from. UT went 9-3 in 2007 in the regular season. We were 1 play away from losing to SC. If Vandy makes the last second FG, we lose. If UK makes a FG in OT, we lose that game as well. That would be 6-6 in the regular season.

Last year, if Pig breaks the plane before he fumbles against UGA, we probably win. If we stop Vandy on that 4th down, we definitely win. That would've made us 7-5. Football is a game of inches and seconds. Sometimes a team that goes 10-4 isn't that much better than a team that goes 6-6. Schedule and luck has a lot to do with it.

This post deserves more than a like. We beat the dog sh*t out of Utah St last week. On a short week, with a team so young we played 21 freshman in the opener, with a noon kick off, we played "so poorly" we beat a team we were favored to beat by 17 by 15.

Yes, the offense got vanilla after we got up by 3 scores in the third. Maybe we were working on running and deep passes. You know, the things were struggling with that we needed to work on. Why show OU more than we need to?

So while I'm not as exuberant as I was after the USU win, we still get the W and after we got ahead, the game was never in serious doubt. So I look on here and people are bit&hing and moaning. "Our offense sucks", Bajakian is terrible, etc. My question is what did people expect coming into this season? Honestly, we've looked a little better thus far that I thought we would. This staff has been nothing short of amazing so far and people have the gall to call for change? This team has been up both games. We've made mistakes but geez we are one of the youngest teams in CFB. A top 5 recruiting class last year and on track for a top 10 this year. And yet there are people who are still not happy.

Yeah, I couldn't blame Butch if it crossed his mind to look elsewhere either. I thought Finebaum was just picking on UT at first but maybe we do have a high % of dumb asses.
