hahaha thats good to hear! And to the bands new favorite song... dont forget the battle! they havent played it that much this year but its an awesome song. In case you dont know it by name is the song from gladiator where everyone takes there shaker and goes from back to front with it on the beat! its awesome!

I would LOVE to see the Jumbo Tron guy take the song U-102 ...I mean Star 102 does and put it to highlights from past games!

If the crowd joined in somewhere, like maybe the phrase "We are the Tennessee Volunteers!" - it would make halftime a MILLION times better!! Do it just before the 2nd half starts, after our guys get back out there, and players and fans alike would be pumped for the 2nd half.

Other than the band, halftime is just sooo dang boring and lulls the crowds to sleep.

I have been a staunch Vol fan for 52 years and I don't know all the words to any of those and I don't plan to learn them. I know the tunes, some of the words and my lack of such knowledge hasn't detracted from my ability to follow and root for the Vols.

as a kid, i didn't know that "down the field" and "fight vols fight" even had a name. every time the vols scored or made a big play, i just hummed along as john ward went apoplectic.
hell, most of the kids in my neighborhood thought that both songs was just one big song the pride of the southland band played. i noticed at the lsu game that our band was playing the two a lot more than usual.
