For those blaming coaches

they say dobbs is smart and should know the playbook. grow up. not sure what that means. butch states he don't want to burn redshirts. worley gives us virtually no chance to win a game the rest of the year, so yes let the freshman play. we are not going to a bowl game so lets at least see who are the players that need to kept on the team. just looking for players to be on next years roster.

When I said people are idiots before I really mainly meant you.

They are on the team for a reason. The QB position isn't a spot you can throw a true freshman in and immediately see results. They may have the talent but a qb has to have the mental aspect too. They have to command a team, know the plays, read defensive schemes, and have a certain level of composure.

Once every decade or so you will see a guy that can come right in and do that. But remember, a frosh is 17-18 years old. Not many guys that age can go in front off 100k+ fans and function at a high level.

So get real. Seriously.

I wouldn't let Palardy try a field goal unless we were at the forty or inside. After the fake failed because of the penalty I would have punted them down inside the twenty.

In Worley doesn't throw 2 ints in the end zone this is a much different ball game. Obviously that's 6-14 points more on the board. But also that keeps momentum on our side and possibly stalls a couple more S. Alabama drives.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a merry Christmas. As usual Worley did an outstanding job and the coaching staff as well. This was an outstanding South Alabama team that would have probably beaten Alabama by 40 points. We might even contend for the National Championship! The coaches are the smartest I have ever seen and we have an abundance of talent!!

Still got a shot at a bowl game so I totally disagree. If the freshman were ready, we would see them. Grow up was for those calling to fire the coaches and not understanding we have maybe 50 scholarship players on this team. Of those less than ten are sec quality. Grow up not meant for you, sorry

One thing I disagree with CBJ is defering the KO, why, 'cause if the opponent takes it to the house or scores on the opening drive, they have the momentum. We need to establish momentum, it's very important in the way the game is being played today.

If you had our offense, and knew there was a 50/50 chance you get either the 2Q offense...or the 4Q offense, would you want the ball to start the game?

Defense is not good enough to spend the amount of time they have been spending on the field in the last three games!

So you're saying no one coaches Worley?

Saban just said that people blame the coaches for bad play calling but it is the execution that matters. you can call the best plays in the world but if your players don't execute it doesn't matter.

Your right, one of those ints wasn't worely's fault. It was tipped at the line. Not defending him as a qb because I believe Riley's s better QB

Why is it so difficult to find a QB that can function under pressure but we seem to have a monopoly on it.

So, I guess there is no point in all those practices then, since execution just comes down to the players. I guess rather than practicing with the team, the coaches should just be out on the road, looking for more recruits, since nothing else they do matters.

What about the horrendous tackling, the lackluster blocking, the complete and utter meltdown this team experienced in the entire second half? Whose fault is that?

This is an across the board depth issue . Our team of the 90's and the successful teams of today have a 3 deep at EVERY position ...maybe even deeper . We have very limited depth ...alot of freshmen and walk-ons involved in the depth that we have.

This is most evident on defense . It is alot to ask defensive players to play 50-90 snaps a game without substitution or minimal substitution . Fundamentals break down and injuries occur when fatigue reaches a certain point .

Ever wonder why our D plays great for 1-2 quarters and then drops off dramatically ? Now you know.

We cannot improve our depth this season. What you can hope for is for our QBs to develop enough to convert drives and keep the D fresh and off the field. The blocking and running game will look better too , because the gaps will not be under constant attack .

Johnny Football did not have a problem last year. You don't know what a young player can do till you see him in a game.

You know the point I was making - you and your kind are good reasons to never post. good night:(

Why did we get away from running the football.????

My thought exactly, but I assume that they wanted to get Worley and the receivers some game experience and some confidence before the Georgia game.
The INT Worley threw right after getting an INT was stupid. Why don't they throw the ball on a stop and GO route to North or Croom like they did with Josh Smith.

True. Of course, if WKU didn't turn the ball over 6 times in the first half they beat our ass.
