How the SEC was so improved, welcome back to reality. Tennessee, Alabama, and LSU all lost to lower division teams tonight.

Point being having Tennessee and Auburn lose and Alabama winning in double OT shows the SEC isn't as great as some want to believe.

We all know Auburn sucks, so your saying UT isn't that good either?

Last year Pitt and Syracuse lost exhibition games. It is definitely an indicator of conference strength, and how good each team is.

It's a freaking exhibition game.....calm down, the sky is not falling nor is the world ending. I'm sure it was a nice wake up call.

Well.........I guess I gotta say it...so here it is in a nutshell people. I would quite worrying about Bama,LSU.....Whoever! Reason is this....and Yea...I know, I'm new here and have one post......what ever. But I gotta tell ya- like it or not Kentucky is loaded..............**LOW DOWN loaded, for a very very long time to come in the future. Kentucky will stomp a mud hole through the SEC this year and years to come. yea...they will lose, but in case you have not really been watching the Cats.......well, entertain yourself an dlook at the talent they have commitments to for 3+ years in the future. Not what ya want to hear I am sure, but get ready. YES! they are that good, YES! they are that deep and I gotta tell you if KANTER is able to get in line with his deal this year...well, National Championship #8 is not too far off the grid. Talking about a MAN?! He makes Demarcus Cousins look like a 5th grader and that ain't no lie people. Just wait....not only is he that good, but he will abuse any big man in the SEC that gets on the same floor with him. Now......those are hard cold facts people.....so the Bama's,LSU's, whatever!!!!!!! It doe'nt matter. Too bad that that Cats cannot say that about their Football program right now....however, rumour is-they are soon to get much much better in the recruiting department and believe me when I say.....It's big! especially for UK.:good!:

This thread is rather stupid, if anything it's way premature. LSU was supposed to have a pulse this year. Auburn was supposed to be one of the worst major conference teams in the country. Tennessee's loss is definitely a surprise but it's an exhibition game where the effort was never there and we experimented with Lineups the whole night along with unrealistic minute distribution. The East will be very good along with MSU. At least wait for someone to lose a game.

I'm calm, I want everyone to realize the SEC isn't that great.

Lakers? Cowboys? Duke?

You refer to Titans as "we" and act like you care about Tennessee basketball.

I want you to realize you're a bandwagon fan.

Fair enough?

A bandwagoner sure as Hell wouldn't claim to be a Dallas fan right now.

And based on an exhibition game, you know the SEC will be bad. At least you're using airtight logic.

Exhibition games are supposed to be a way to experiment with defenses, rotations, AND still win the game.

What I would be concerned with is the fact the team had 25 TO and allowed an inferior opponent to shoot 60% from the field in the second half. I'd also be concerned about not having a player who can get a basket to stop a run.

Anybody not concerned after what we saw Monday night has some mental problems.

It's apparently supposed to motivate the team and Scotty Hopson. Just like Renaldo has been motivated for 2 years to silence "haters". Just like Hopson has been motivated for over 2 years to show UT what he's about. Blah, blah, blah. Eventually the motivation talk just turns into talk.

UT "fans" possess an unreal level of pessimism, which really leads me to question why they are UT fans in the first place. I know every team will suck some years, but when you continually look for the flaws, mistakes, and shortcomings, no matter what, that seems to me like you actually hate the Vols and wish them nothing well. There's nothing wrong with that, but it just confuses the hell out of me as to why they would put on the facade of a UT fan who WOULD like to see the team do well....

Agreed. This thread is a fail. Of course some on here will disagree because this thread offers a venue to bash their "favorite team".

It is what it is. The SEC isn't as good as everyone in the area make it out to be. It's that simple.
