For those of you that said that a Top 25 program like UT shouldn't expect for it's students and crowd to rush the court after beating a fellow Top 25 opponent. Just look at the #23 Maryland vs #4 Duke... Maryland wins and they storm the court. There's no reason why UT shouldn't be allowed to do the same when they beat UK. It doesn't show a lack of respect or anything like that. It's passion for the game. Let the fans and players enjoy it.

Tennessee looks that much better for not storming the court. Maryland should be embarrassed that they just rushed the court, bunch of amateurs.

They probably did it because they havent been competetive in the ACC consistently since winning the NC a few years back. Not to mention beating Duke is worthy of a celebration of double proportions since you have to beat the Blue Devils but the refs too.

Well it's apparent that Maryland doesn't expect to beat elite teams. We do.

Elite teams don't rush the floor when they beat other elite teams.

I understand your point. Yes it's valid.... but I respectfully disagree

All that says is, "You are a much better team than us and we should never but you, but by some miracle and the hand of God himself we did. I'm sure next time you will crush us because we are mediocre at best."

Maryland is a ranked team. They were in the NCAA Tournament last year and they will be this year. They are now tied for the top spot in the ACC.

Why should they be rushing the court?

To me, that just gives Duke ammunition to say, "It was their Superbowl beating us." That is exactly what UK fans would have been saying had we stormed the court against them.

Like an old coach of mine said " Act like you've been there and done that". No need to rush the court.

It's all about emotion! I saw that tonight, in our players and fans. If fans want to rush the court, let them. I applaud Maryland's student body. A player loves when the crowd is crazy. Let the fans have fun!!! But remember, BE RESPECTFUll.

Well, I haven't heard it. But if we had stormed the court, we would have done nothing but validate that statement.
Agreed. The Kentucky win wasn't worthy of a court rushing. I do however think the Kansas win would've been worthy considering the circumstances.

I'm glad we didn't rush for either though, I'm sure we gained some respect for not doing so.

People have tried for both wins though, the cops just won't allow it.

What is stopping you? Storm it if it means that much to you.

Pathetic teams and fans storm the court. It's an act showing how shocked they are that they won... Not fan fare. It's show casing the fan bases amature status.

I am PROUD UT didn't storm on either Kansas or Kentucky. It was classy and it saved the University a $25K fine from the SEC. South Carolina got hit with one earlier this year.
