While I agree that rushing the court says a lot about where you think you're program is, I would hedge on saying there is NEVER a time to rush the court. Surely you can think of a time where rushing the court could be deemed reasonable.

Just yesterday there was a great article on either SI or ESPN about how meaningless rushing the court has become. It used to happen once every couple of years. Now morons rush the court after any big win, even if the winner is a top 25 program. This writer then listed rules for when you shouldn't rush the court. Suffice it to say that a top 20 Tennessee shouldn't really ever be rushing the court. We EXPECT to win.

The Terps looked like a-holes last night. Amateurs!

kids who storm the court for games like that are also the ones chanting "overrated" at the end of the game. idiots.

I don't think a small act such as rushing the court defines a person. It's pretty impressive though that so many of our fans can define them with one word. Does it make you feel good to insult people you don't even know? Anyone who feels the need to insult them is living a really pathetic life. I now see why this country is struggling.

Storming the court itself if fun if you are a student. When we beat Kentucky in 99 it was fun and I'll argue warranted. For that matter when we did it against Florida in 06 I had no problem with it.

But, there comes a point where your program is beyond doing it. I think we're there. There are just a few idiots in the student section who are well, idiots.

I agree. I honestly think the fact that so many people don't endorse storming the court is the main reason that the economy has collapsed.

The greedy kids who must be self-served today are the same greedy Wall Street bankers of tomorrow. Just think, if we had stopped storming the court in the 80s, none of the financial meltdown would have happened.

Actually, while we're talking students, I truly hope they take student tickets away next year in the upper deck. Not being able to sell the student allotment out for Kentucky is a disgrace.

This. In a similar vein... As much as I hate Alabama I have to respect the fact that thier insufferable fans have never (as in NEVER) torn down their goalposts after a big win. I don't know if their basketball fans have ever stormed the court either but to me all doing that sort of thing says is "we're not used to winning around here".....
