For those that wanted Tubberville

Just to bring some facts into the discussion about Tuberville, the guy won 68% of his games coaching at Auburn, including one undefeated season, and four top 15 finishes. Some fans were interested in him because of his proven success IN THE SEC. Based on his taking the Cincinatti job, he apparently would have been available for the UT job. However, that's all water over the dam, Butch Jones is our coach now and I wont undermine him by comparing him to other what ifs. Just wanted to give a larger, reality based context to the discussion of Tuberville.

Yeah, it is possible that Jones could be a bust but more upside potential at this point in his career than with Tuberville. His better days are behind him.

Tuberville: Tuber is another name for potato. Who would want a coach whose name translates to potato town?

You mean this guy?

I think ya'll hard being too tough on him...maybe they overcooked his steak and had to leave...

I remember when he arrived at Auburn he dropped a bunch of players, just revoked their scholarships, so he's been a slime ball for awhile. He's getting what he deserves now, other coaches are climbing the coaching ladder and he just keeps going lower

Screw Tubberville. Is Danzey worth looking at for the line? Sounds like his options have opened back up.

I have no ideal why any fan of UT football would of wanted Tubervill here for the head coach job.

I don't care for Tubbs and would not want him. However how many coaches have gone undefeated for the season in the SEC?

Tommy Tuberville left recruits at dinner to take Cincinnati job

Junior college offensive lineman Devonte Danzey, who was in Lubbock for an official visit last weekend, told the recruiting site Wreckem247.com that Tuberville stepped away from a dinner with several recruits and assistant coaches Friday night and never returned. Saturday morning, Tuberville surprised many by accepting an offer to become Cincinnati's coach

Same cat who said they'd have to carry him out of Ole Miss "in a pine box" about 45 seconds before taking the Auburn job. :eek:lol:
