For those UF fans...

I could never tell that Colquitt touched him. Looked like one of those cases of tripping over the 46 yard line.

He's referring to Colquitt tripping the return man on that one return that almost went all the way...
We're talking the play that they had to bring back for the crackback, er, called clipping? Sorry, I wasn't watching the punter.

... who said they hoped this game wouldn't turn on poor officiating: It's time to show up.

The call against Mapu was beyond ridiculous. His hand was up and the O-lineman who was holding him shoved him right into Leak's head.

The final run by Wynn was marked a full yard forward from what it should have been.

And, there was more holding than any of UF's linemen had at their high school prom- uncalled.

UF played great... but this game was turned on a few critical bad calls. Let's see you show up.

I suspect that we'd agree on a few of the bad calls, and disagree on a few others. I also suspect that no attempts at one of us changing the other's minds would be effective, either.

So I'll leave this thread with what more than one UT fan told me a couple of years ago: "If your team plays as well as it should, officiating shouldn't matter." While I can't say that I wholeheartedly agree with that statement, there is some truth. Questionable calls only matter when your team lets the other team remain in the game (keeps it close).

There were enough bad and missed calls on both sides of the ball, IMHO, to keep me from thinking that it had a significant impact on the end result.

Great teams get through adversity!

Gracious LOSERS don't blame a loss on bad calls. Bad calls went both ways. Look at the stats. You simply got outplayed, AT HOME! Eat it! :)
check out some other threads...i think you'll find that most say it was a good game, for both teams, with the difference bing UF's offensive line play vs. our offensive line play. so...you eat it.:p

Quit your crying. Refs saved Vols form getting blown out of Neyland. -11 yards rushing is the Refs Fault? As long as Fulmer is the coach Gator Domination will continue. What are you gonna do when the spread option with Tebow really gets going?

Why do you only come around when we lose???

guys like you only speak up when its negative. This team is 1000 times better than last years but all you wanna do is put them down.

Shut up man. If you dont wanna come around during good times then dont come around at all.

Have avoided message boards last night & today cause I didn't want to read all the pubescent smack talk. This thread started out well, but then the jerks (from both teams) took over. Yes, a few questionable calls, but yes, they went both ways (really the back-to-back nullified TDs) adn Colquitt (a very good HS soccer player!) did slide tackle the return man (and from my end zone seat, it looked like he was the last man to beat). Bottom line is UT's O-line got manhandled (and that is a big concern for the rest of the season). Don't know how in the world we were in position to win this game (and that should be a concern for Gators for rest of the season), but FL deserved the win. End of story.

Take that dose of reality that I dished before and hopefully it will make you feel better. A matter of fact, take two doses, don't call me in the morning though
WAKE UP MAN.

I think a lot of people are looking at this game the wrong way. We were 5-6 last year with tons of questions. We beat a good Cal team and a difficult AF team. Florida, a legitimate #7 team beat us by one point. We are a very good football team that didn't fire on all pistons last night. That is all. We will get there and it is a long year. I would rather have the rest of our schedule than Florida's remaining schedule. I still don't see a reason why we can't run the table for the rest of the year. LSU didn't look that great especially some of the decisions that their qb made and Georgia has their own problems. I am proud of our guys and yes they need some serious improvement here and there but overall I am excited about where we are and the potential for the remainder of the season.

Go Vols! Beat Marshall!
