Tell me the SEC teams that would start our RBs or d lineman.

I could say any team and it could not be proved one way or another. Our running backs and O line WON THE GAME for us today. Our defense was on the field way to long. Considering the position the defense was put in they at least played average. The d line played well. Slow linebackers and an inexperienced and slow secondary is our biggest problem on defense.

The main reason for this performance is a below average QB and inexperienced but talented receivers.

Thing are never as bad or good as people say; however, it is a fact it is going to take more time to compete with the best.

Your first sentence is absurd.

The good news is that this team has a new week, a new opponent, and a new opportunity to get better this week, and create a giant killer mentality.

They are about to play a monster that is a complete mismatch when it comes to speed.

I just hate watching the team play poorly against competition like South Alabama. We were in complete control of that game and let them back in. I think that's what frustrates me about the coaching.

No shame in losing to Georgia, which is a much better team and which outclasses us at pretty much every position. But good coaches need to have solid gameplans against the likes of the Sun Belt.

That's not to say Butch won't get it done here, but it makes one awfully nervous to see a UAB 2010-esque game.

Worst QB play in memorable history combined with greatest lack of team speed in same memorable history.

This is where we are. Adjust expectations.

The Simpleton's have been on for quite a few seasons. Obviously there are issues with their adjustment button.

I believe so. But he is going to need to bring in talent first.

This team is a big mess of second teamers, mostly.

No running backs. No QBs. No d lineman. No experienced WRs. It is atrocious.
How can you sat no QB's? We have only seen two sub par SEC QB's- Worley and Peterman.

Giant killer? I don't think we get past the beanstalk personally.

Dude, the ghost of Derek Dooley IS still on the sidelines! He had three years to inject his personality into this program. It will take more than 5 weeks to purge it.

I thought the Volympics solved those problems?

:loco:

A lot of folks think we can turn it around overnight. That is not going to happen, we are least 5-7 years away from competing for the SEC. So, if you're not prepared for that, jump ship now.

Flame me, do what you will, its the truth. This is the lowest point in the modern era of UT football.

Oh yeah, about the Alabama comparison, we're not Alabama, thank God.

This bothers me. I'm sure you are right. But 6 mill a year should net a few things

I remember seeing Johnny Majors record his first ten years on campus. It took ten years before he had the program winning consistently.

Yes, he had some losing seasons, then some winning seasons, but not consistently until about ten seasons.

So, my expectations are similiar to that.

Heck no, we are going 8-4 this season. I have already bet the farm on it and going to win lots when we win out. After all, Butch gets it. AAAANNND, we have new grey Jerseys!

The last 5 years of UT football have killed everything that happened in the last 20.
This is almost like starting the program again from scratch.

It's going to be a long road, but we're recruiting well, hopefully it will continue.

The fans MUST understand this, its not the 90's anymore.
