If we have to play Arkansas we might be one and home...man I hope not but I don't like the match up with the Hogs when they play under control....

A big IF but if we play like we have in the last 3 games, we can dig a pit and have roast hog for supper because the hogs will be DONE, we can play with anyone in the SEC if we play like we did the last 3, bring on the mighty gators we will give them all they want and just might send them home without the net.:good!:

I think they are better than LSU. If they can get by Kentucky, I think they'll beat Ole Miss.

Bama was 2-3 vs LSU, UK, Ole Miss, & UGA this season, with the two wins coming by a combined total of 5 points. I agree that is a fairly manageable path to the finals, but they haven't exactly shown out against those teams.

I can see TN winning it.
Wouldn't have said that last month.
They'll rout Arkansas's inexperience on the road.
Like what I've seen this month.

Would LOVE for Forde to be right but...

I think he concluded by saying "Cocaine is a helluva drug!"

I hesitate to agree only because every time I feel I've seen the light come on, they bring me crashing back down to reality.

Having said that, I like our chances this year as well as any other. A weak SEC is to thank for that, but so is our recent play, regardless of competition.

I agree. They didn't play well against those teams. But Ole Miss wasn't exactly my type of pick last season either. I think that side of the bracket is wide open. I don't think UK will do well in Atlanta.

What is our likely seed if we win the SECT? Could we jump up as high as a 9 seed and would we even want that? I want to win the tourney just to know for a fact that we are in and because we haven't accomplished that feat in a long time but I also want our best route in the NCAAT.

Would beating Florida, then losing the final be our best route for seeding?

You didn't look at the bracket , did you?

Winning the SECT would help our seed. Beating Florida would pretty much put us in, regardless of the championship game.

I understand that, IMO if we win our first game we are in.

I'm just saying would winning the SECT be desirable for NCAAT seeding? I'm just asking because I would like to avoid playing a 1 seed in the second day if winning the SECT would jump as all the way to a 9 seed. Obviously I'd love to win the SECT though.

Just hypothetical, if winning the final means a 9 seed and losing in the final would put us a solid 10 or 11 seed, I would rather lose the final.

I understand what your saying. IMO, I'd rather play a 1 seed in the 3rd round. The path for a 1 seed is obviously easier. If we knock off Arkansas, Florida and possible Georgia or Kentucky, we shouldn't be worried about playing anyone in the country. If we beat that 1 seed, our games get easier before they get tougher. If your goal is a sweet 16 or something, than I guess maybe but if we end up winning the SEC, my expectations change a bit in the tournament. Florida, IMO, is the most talented team in the country. None of the 1 seeds worry me. The tournament is all about matchups and who gets hot. We are on fire right now and a 5 seed Texas or UNC scare me more than a 1 seed in Florida or Wichita State. JMO...I'm sure others wouldn't agree with that.

We could get as high as a 6 seed if we won the SECT IMO.
