Chad is 44 yrs old. His last meaninful pro football was 12 yrs ago. Prospective recruits were 6 yrs old at that time. They weren't even born during his All Pro years. Don't think todays kids would really be sparked by his presence.
True.

But, the point is about staying in the media spotlight. We have been living in the shadows for a long time.

Maybe but you never know. Kids these days are funny what they know and don’t know. There’s a whole culture with teens now to be into things they consider retro and I consider still sorta relevant lol.

Dude has a talent for keeping his name out there-good or bad.

Most kids know who Chad Ochocinco is, even if he's been out of the pro's for years. He's a very well known player regardless.
True.

Thanks to Chad, most American kids who follow football, also think that the number 85 (eighty-five) translated to Spanish, is "ochocinco" instead of the accurate "ochenta y cinco."

He has moved to Nashville I think ?

He was at a couple of NSC games and tweeted about being on the sideline of the UT/LSU game. Maybe he’s Tennessee bought in !!!

So it's impossible to learn anything that happened when you're a toddler or even before you're born?

Man Tennessee "fans" never disappoint

Right! Chad Johnson is one of the best route runners of all time. His feet were ridiculously fast. Kids know who he is.

Condredge Holloway was before my time, yet one of my favorites. Timing doesn't matter if someone is a fan of the game, or a great player.

Not sure I agree. Dudes antics are legendary. He's stayed very relevant in podcast and interviews. I bet it would be difficult to find kids who don't know who Ocho is

His daughter is a recruit on a visit.

I got to go on the field during the Tenn-Ok game in Norman because my Vol buddy worked with the Dad of an Ok basketball recruit who was there on an official visit, and the dad invited us to join him on the field. Some kid named Trey Young…wonder what ever happened to him.

Not a big deal.
