Obviously, this guy is several fries short of a happy meal. What is interesting to me is that anytime a killer doesn't publish a manifesto, the immediate media narrative is he's a conservative / right wing loon. Almost always that narrative is proven false several days later.
When there is a manifesto which espouses views supported by liberal politicians, the media narrative is speculation why he was pushed to the breaking point. It was done with Ted Kazcynski (unibomber) and it will be done with this guy.

Side note. Actually read this week that the Son of Sam killer was a democrat party official for NY.

The usual suspects were the same way about Loughner early on as well.

While it's unfair not to say both sides aren't a bit quick to start pointing fingers (it's just how the game is played at this point I'm afraid) when you have a shooting the Left's priapism for wanting to blame the weapon as well as the shooter makes that mindset especially willing to pounce well ahead of determining fact.

There seems almost a sense of delight by VM that a black guy lost his mind and is attacking people over it, so he can call the guy a "typical liberal." Kind of alarming, really.

Coming on the heels of yesterday's WTF? observation about having Mexico mentioned about something in Mexico you've just got to be trolling now...right?

Now, granted, VM may be being his old opportunistic self but given the tirade in this guy's manifesto he could just as easily been white and be treated the same.

I think so which makes this even more frickin bizarre. Do they not have an actual description of the vehicle or driver or are they just rolling up on trucks at random and abusing the people inside.

Also, I'm not sure how this works chronologically, but a few hours after the story really broke (on Thursday?) they found his truck burned 100 miles away from Torrance. Since I didn't hear about this second attack on innocent civilians til yesterday I half assume it was after they found his abandoned truck.

I read the same. That's why the second attack shocked me. He's in the mountains. His family has land there. They have several swat teams there searching for him. Snow fell and covered his tracks and the dogs were playing hell trying to find him.

This guy has got some dirt on these cops. They don't want him alive.
