Former Marshall U WR and NFL Great Randy Moss diagnosed with liver cancer

So they found the cancer while doing an unrelated procedure on his liver. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Man, I love Randy, I hope he pulls through.
That’s good, in the sense that they caught it while doing something else rather than much later in it’s progression. The earlier cancer is found, the better. There are certain kinds of cancer (such as pancreatic) that by the time they start showing themselves on their own, they’re already at a very advanced point.

Well, I got a little luckier than some of you. I had low grade lymphoma consisting of half a dozen growths around my torso and head. Wasnt really life threatening unless totally ignored. Only way we knew was it was on both lacrimal glads and the growths were pushing around the eyeballs causing double vision. Had the double vision for a while. That was no fun. 6 sessions of IV (didn't even use a port) therapy (mostly immuno and a small amount of chemo) and all gone. Most all of it melted away after the first session. Only issue is the therapy messed up my teeth and gums. Lost a lot of between teeth gums. Low risk to return within ten years.

I had 2 of my best friends pass in the last couple years. One had bile duct cancer. Went to the hospital thinking he might have a kidney stone and found out. He fought for a couple years before it took him. Another friend had colon cancer that spread to his liver. He passed away a year ago. I was diagnosed with cancer last October and have been battling myself. It doesn’t care who you are.
Very similar with one of my best friends. Had abdominal pain and I believe they went in to remove either his spleen or appendix. Sewed him up, sent him home. Pain got worse and he went back in for surgery. Found they had actually nicked the bile duct in the process. Trying to repair that is when they found the cancer. He passed a little over a year later. Didn’t know you were battling that, C-South. Praying for you, sir. I hate hearing that.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I’m hanging in there and things are starting to get better. Definitely in a better spot than I was a year ago.
