Wasn't there a thread a while back that said he was under consideration to return?

Being at a school like Missou with nothing but muddy water in sight, it makes ya just wanna forget about a career

And, given the stupidity and craziness going on at that campus in the general, the average Mizzou student might need to do a line just to get through the day over there. They're absolutely nuts

Is this the video/twitter link really too SFW? (Just wondering)

Anyways, Missouri suspended him indefinitely as video surfaced, and school is investigating.

Mizzou suspends QB Maty Mauk as it investigates video that surfaced online (Article by Saturday Down South writer Nick Cole)

New Tigers coach Barry Odom has suspended the former starting quarterback indefinitely after a video surfaced online late Monday night that shows someone that looks like Mauk engaged in what could be construed as drug-related activities.

Per MU, Maty Mauk suspended indefinitely from the football program as they gather information on the video that has been circulating.

The program took swift action with the suspension, with Odom releasing a joint statement with Missouri athletics director Mack Rhodes:

We are currently gathering information regarding the video in question. This is an issue we take very seriously and one that will not be tolerated within our program. We will take appropriate action once we have all the facts. In the interim, Maty Mauk has been indefinitely suspended from the Mizzou football program.

While it is easy to sometimes get caught up in making quick judgments in a situation like this, the official release seems like an appropriate reaction that will be followed with a measured decision once all of the facts are gathered.

According to Palmer, this is the third suspension Mauk will be serving within the last four months, which is not a good sign for his long-term status with the program if the facts involved with the video are not in his favor.

He missed much of the 2015 season due to a pair of suspensions for disciplinary issues that were handed out by Gary Pinkel during his final season as head coach.

While the video, which can be found here, does not look good, it is important to remember that things aren’t always as they appear:

I'm not making any excuses for the video or for Mauk, but there are plenty of white substances people can snort. 'Allegedly' is your friend.

If you think about it this could be great for recruiting at Mizzou. It shows that they have a drug testing program that is very liberal and permissive. Not exactly the program your Momma would approve of but attractive for the thug population.

And before someone complains about the thug comment being racist just look at the video.

That's sad. The guy is going to ruin his life because of his drug habits. Hopefully he can get the right people around him and get his head straightened out.

How so? He's likely getting kicked out.

Maybe. You never know.

Unless it's somehow proven that it's not coccaine, it's going to be pretty had to come back from a video of something like that becoming public.

I'm not even sure Richt or Spurrier would even allow a player back after something like that reaching public domain.

(I don't even think - were the video proven to be back from say September, an earlier suspension - that a "he's gotten his life back on track since then" line of reasoning would necessarily give it a pass.)

I hope the young man can get his life turned. Drugs ruin so many lives. People think they can do it "just every now and the" and let it go when they choose.
