Former Recruit Dalton Santos

I would wager a large amount of money if I had it that neither 50 points nor 500 yards offense is reached by Oregon this weekend.

But, even if it does.

One is Oregon. One is BYU.

Very very big difference.

Also we aren't talking total offense. We're just talking rushing yards. Texas gave up 559 yards rushing!

I wanted to congratulate Dalton Santos and the Texas defense for holding BYU to only 559 yards rushing.

If only Mack Brown coulda landed that top flight free safety he wanted..... what was his name? Oh yeah, Manziel.....

The game has passed Coach Brown by IMHO.

Big time football? Yea I wanted the guy but he was probably 17 or 18 when he made the choice to switch. Would you say the same thing to a kid from Tennessee who switched to the vols from Texas once he got an offer?

Rushing yards are directly tied to LB play(not the only correlation). In big time football, even at Tennessee, criticism is fair when you allow that many yards to BYU. Has nothing to do with him picking Texas over UT. That is not something I care about. I understand that's the main force behind the call out but the stats are true.

Let it go. You want to talk about giving up that much yardage. Just look at us last year. Gave up more points then any team in UT history. The kid wanted to stay home and play for his home state. No big deal.

The other thing is that Texas prospects are highly overrated.

And we still weren't as bad as Texas was this week.

I've never seen a program do so little with so many resources at their disposal. An endless budget, their own network, and loads and loads of 5* instate talent, and they go out and get throttled by BYU....embarassing.

See the current USC team. Not sure if they have their own network though.

This is both completely classless and absolutely hilarious. The devil on one shoulder is laughing with me, the angel on my other shoulder is glaring us both down. Well done.

kid is playing D1 football and youre behind a keyboard making fun of him. you have to pay money to watch him play football.

who's the real loser here.

...but you're behind a keyboard taking shots at me for laughing along with millions of other college football fans who don't like Texas...?

To answer your question, go look in the mirror.

What a dumbass post. What will you think about the guys from last year's class when Oregon hangs 50 points and 500 yards on Vols this weekend?

I will think its Oregon, the #2 team in the country that alot of teams fear plying and not BYU, the not ranked team that alot of teams would love to have on their schedule instead of teams like Oregon, Bama, Uga, Fla, USCe, ect....

Also this kid opened himself up to stuff like this. He knew he really wanted to go to texas so why commit to us when he knew if the offer came he was switching. If he didn't want stuff like this tossed in his face then all he had to do was stay uncommitted until the offer he wanted came and then take it and if NSD comes and texas never offers then he could have signed with us. I guarantee his commitment cost us a recruit and forced us to either leave his spot empty or settle for a lesser talent that would accept a last minute offer.

It's pretty funny that if you do a quick post search for most of the people bashing the op you'll find they have said far worse things about players that are playing or have played for the real UT

I'm with you OP. He made a big deal out of his commitment and committed to us.

Then reneged and was rude to the Tennessee coaching staff while doing it.

Texas stellar defense obviously needs a kid of his talents. (I didn't see him running downhill and hitting people in the mouth yesterday btw...). Hope he enjoys the death throes of the Mack Brown era while the Vols climb to the top.

I'll take Dillon Bates over him any day regardless.

Eh, I can't blame the kid for not wanting to play for Dooley. Hard to be pissed at a college kid unless he is in rivals colors and even then they're just kids. Who gives a chit about Texas?

O the sanctimony. Santos isn't reading this board. Very few Texas fans are reading this board. It's just a joke, everyone; lighten up.

Besides, Texas sucks.

To be honest about it, if my own son was playing LB for Texas I would be giving him just as much crap.

We only have ourselves, as Tennesseans, to blame. If we had not have gone and helped them out, it would have been Northern Mexico and none of this would have mattered. Oh Davey Crockett, why did you go!!!!!

I feel like Santos has a better build for football than soccer. He should be thanking us.
