This will be LSU's best class ever, maybe not by rankings according to the rating agencies but the fans have been tracking most of these recruits since their freshman year of HS.
Collins, Hillard, Landry, Freak Johnson, Jenkins, Turner, Hill, and White are no joke.... and I would not trade them for any other team's class.
Usually LSU gets 85-95% of the in-state recruits it wants and then a few out of state recruits to add to the mix, this year is no different.
The only in-state recruit that I know that has an offered that has a verbal with another team is Bradley Sylve who has a verbal with ALA... there are family matters that helped in that decision.
The following in-state recruits have offers and are undecided:
- G. Robinson
- O. Beckman
- J. Rasco
- M. Johnson
I expecting LSU not to be able to get 2 of the 4. So, the numbers for in-state will still be close to 85-90% this year with no problem. Now if we lose half the class between now and signing day then I will gladly change my tune, until then I don't know what to say other than I wouldn't trade our class for any other team's.
The only place LSU has struggled to recruit this year is out-state QBs, no Louisiana QBs have been offered yet and with the loss of Zack Lee to MLB that may leave a sting in a few years.
True, around this time last year LSU already had Janzen Jackson in the fold. :whistling:
