Heupel says To'o To'o never seriously considered rejoining Vols

I don't think that Eric Gray or Wanya Morris had the option of returning, but Coach Heupel tried to get Henry To'oto'o to stay. Henry didn't given him much of a chance.

Thanks hadn't seen this before. I respect what Henry did while wearing the Orange but he's not one of the one who stayed & played, for that I don't hold him in the same esteem.

Maybe one day we will find out who was shown the door to the transfer portal.

Just curious .... Does the IRS ever audit these guys who were obviously paid a lot of money?

That’s a good question. Have no idea how it would hit the IRS radar, though. You would think it would have to being so public. I’ve also wondered about these NIL deals and if these collectives set up a way for taxes to be deducted and filed for the athletes. This would be the first time any of these kids, with really no free time on their hands due to 24/7 football, 18-23 years old, would probably have to concern themselves with tax matters.

We won more for sure, but their running game was better. I was just pointing out that your point made no sense.

It’s debatable whether the Vols or OU had a better run game last year. Matter of fact, I’d give the edge to the Vols.

The Vols had a slightly higher Yards per Carry average (4.96 vs 4.91), and a lot more Rushing TDs (40 vs 28) against generally better run defenses (UGA, Clemson, Bama, Pitt, LSU). OU ran the ball a little more frequently. But they didn’t have Hooker, Hyatt, Tillman, Bru, Ramel, and Squirrel.

They also ran the ball a lot when they were far behind ... and facing 3 man fronts. They ran the ball 42 times vs Texas - while losing 49-0. It helped pad their rushing totals, but they obviously weren't trying to win the game.

I don't agree with that at all. No part of their offense was better.
The only thing I was looking at was yards since the other poster tried to make a misleading, inaccurate point about yards rushed. Our offense was much more effective and efficient. Id take our offense any day, even if OU got more yards out of their running backs.

All I was making a point about was yards rushed since KTrain was trying to make some kind of point about Grays rushing yards. Id take our offense any day of the week.

Actually our run game was better, we as a team averaged 5 yards per carry, Oklahoma as a team averaged 4.9 yards per carry. So sometimes its a little deeper than the low hanging fruit.
