I think if U-T has a good team in 09 Foster is gonna win the Heisman :cross:

:dunno: In 2009? He can only redshirt once. Not 3 times.

Who cares if we beat UK or not and Foster will be gone if he's smart to somewhere that won't ruin his career.

you think he'll be there for that long? He can leave after next season as a redshirted sophomore.

NO, it will go to some DB like Charles Woodson. Remember the last time somebody from the Vols was up for it. :birgits_giggle:

Don't even bring up the word "HEISMAN" it has no value or meritt to it anymore. That kind of talk gets bad stuff started.

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, fella. Slow down a bit.

The kid has had a couple of solid games running against South Carolina, Memphis, and Kentucky. He looks like an able starter, but we haven't run the ball well enough to have any Heisman contenders in a long, long time.

Just like Gerald Riggs was a Heisman candidate and was going for 2,000 yards this season, right?

Wrong.

I'm taking it one game at a time. Every time someone starts talking NC or Heisman we go nuts and then get let down. Our coaches let these kids get delusions of gradeur and then they melt down. These kids need to worry about the next game rather than thinking January....wait, Decmeber....wait, nevermind.

I hope not. Hopefully he continues to have these types of games. A little help with the depth to keep him healthy all year long.

I hope he isn't thinking of going anywhere.

Foster isn't going anywhere else...he is where he really wants to be.

And I think, after being there Saturday and watching him run with the ball, that he will have a legitimate shot at the Heisman by his senior year.

I was really impressed with his running!
