Don't even bring up the word "HEISMAN" it has no value or meritt to it anymore. That kind of talk gets bad stuff started.

I don't know why everyone thinks the trophy is a fraud just because the guy we wanted to win didn't. Charles Woodson was an oustanding player.

Remember Peyton Manning, Heath Shuler, & John Majors?

Bottom line is he plays for Tennessee, and even if he deserves it, it will be awarded to someone else.

Hopefully the kid is focused on the only thing that should really matter: staying prepared to win the next game.

Yeah, he's doing a WAY better job in the NFL than Peyton. Heisman rules!!! By the way, don't tell me the H trophy isn't about success in the NFL, you used the phrase that Charles WAS an outstanding player. If you don't believe that ESPN totally influenced the Heisman vote then I have some swamp land in Florida I can let you have really cheap!!

I'm taking it one game at a time. Every time someone starts talking NC or Heisman we go nuts and then get let down. Our coaches let these kids get delusions of gradeur and then they melt down. These kids need to worry about the next game rather than thinking January....wait, Decmeber....wait, nevermind.

Excellent point! Hopefully our coaching staff will have the sense to teach the players that the next game is the most IMPORTANT game in their career!!

That's the way it was in 1998. Remember the ladder? One rung at a time....
