I haven't said any of those things. WVU was the better team that day, but not much better. It doesn't matter if you score 35 points in the first quarter or throughout the game, its 35 points. The game was a lot different than Big East fans make it sound. UGA did not get embarassed.
agree to disagree...SEC champs that play defense and have good running games (like UGA was supposed to have last year) don't get beat by Big East teams. they sure as hell don't give up over 500 yards of offense.

i'd feel a lot different about that game if it were the citrus bowl or peach bowl or something and UGA wasn't the SEC Champ. Or if UGA had played the ACC, Big 10 champ.

it would also be different if that game went back and forth..which it did not. WVU led from the jump, and UGA was in a constant state of catch up.

And if our conference is sooooo good, and sooooo respected, and we all know how bad the Big East has taken it on the chin since Miami, VT and BC left that conf., i'd be chirping too if i were a big east fan or WVU fan. after all the Big Least beat the champion of the supposed best conference in football....that's a big deal, especially since WVU neer trailed.

embarassing. what if that had been us? you wouldn't be embarrassed? would TN Fans realisitcaly be sitting here saying "at least we made it close"? not hardly. we'd be pissed because we aren't supposed to lose to Big East teams. and neither is any other SEC champ.

and i know you didn't say any of those things, but the stat you put up was an attempt to show how "close" the game was. i'm just pointing out that as SEC champs, close only counts if you win. if UGA had won that game in the same fashion, there wouldn't be any problem with it, but i would think that many would definitely claim a moral victory for WVU....also keep in mind UGA has been one of, if not the most dominant team in the SEC for the last 3-4 years. And WVU is a Johnny come lately in a perceived bad conference.

Took the words right outta my mouth.

The Ville is not going to run the table without Michael Bush, and West Virginia does not deserve a shot at the title game with their schedule. Unless the Mountaineers do something ridiculous like win games by an average score of 21 points, hold other teams to 10+/- ppg, 300ypg, average 500-600ypg and 30-35ppg themselves (whew) then they should not be in the title game. Unless, by some strange turn of events, no other team in the country has fewer than 2 losses.

Anybody else with me?!

if they go undefeated and remain in the top 5 all year long, they have a shot...strenght of schedule will hurt them in the end, and could wind up 3 or 4 in the BCS and looking in.

If Auburn makes NC game, then they must feel UGAorUF wins SEC East, because no way does the loser of SEC championship game make it to BCS.

They must see us losing to UGAorUF, and then Auburn beating them in SEC Championship game.

But this is a long way off, but fun to talk about.

if you get a 1 loss or undefeated Auburn team in the NT game, and they beat a 1 loss UGA, TN, UF team, then i could certainly see where the loser of that game gets in the BCS...

and surely if an undefeated AUB team gets beat in the BCS, the winner automatically goes, and it's feasible that a one loss Auburn team could still go...
