That doesn't compare to his "marketing" of his summer league teams and players on road trips to tourneys and camps. Trips fully sponsored by some of Martin's associates.
IIRC, he set up practically his entire high school state title team with phony addresses so that they'd be eligible to play in that district. Had them living with "associates" and "boosters" that set up apartments in little havana for the HIGH SCHOOL KIDS to live in.
If you are willing to exploit high school kids to win a high school state title, you aren't worthy of consideration for any kind of job, much less a nationally prominent college coaching job. Kansas State caught a ton of flack when they hired him.
