I like Franklin's attitude and confidence, and it rubs off on his players. Y'all have to remember he took Vandy (a perennial doormat) into a respectable, albeit mediocre program. No telling what he could do with a team like Tennessee or Arkansas. Not that I think he would be a good fit here.

EDIT: let me clarify, I do not think we should hire Franklin. I just don't see why everyone is crapping all over him. He'll do well somewhere. Hopefully not in our conference.

You guys sound butt hurt, Franklin is a great coach. What is has accomplished at Vanderbilt is amazing. They won 8 at Vandy and if you saw him coach you can tell the players love him and go to war with the man. Would he do good at ut? Yes! Would he leave vandy for a "rival" ? No he has dignity. I am a vols fan all the way but dogging this man is stupid and make us sound like idiots as a fan base.

I said Franklin was 10 times the coach last year that Dooley was after he had coached 6 games and I got eaten alive on this board. Some of us need to take the oranged tinted glasses off a year ago and said Dooley sucked and Franklin is good. Does not mean I like Vandy, it means I can tell Franklin developes a competitive team. Wake up admit when you are wrong. Vols will be back, but it is tougher with a guy like Franklin around. If you get Franklin you do two things, you destroy Vandy and you get top 10 classes or dare I say 5 every year. Yeah he would.
