"I have a great relationship with the coaching staff," Flowers said. "They are guys that I wanted to spend the next three to four years with. Several of them have coached in the secondary. I know they can help me develop. I like their defense and it's similar to my high school defense."

Flowers picked the Vols over Clemson after officially visiting both last week. The decision came down to a quickest path to the field.

"I felt like Tennessee needed me more," Flowers said. "I just feel like I can make a bigger impact at Tennessee."

His loss. By the time he’s a contributor, Saban will be retired, the dynasty will be over, and Tennessee will be on the come up.

Nah. Saban will be there the next 5 years imo and Smith will play in multiple SEC championship and playoff games. Wish he’d come here but can’t blame him for going to Bama, who’ll be the favorite to win the title again this year while we struggle to get to a bowl game. #worryaboutheonesweget
