*****Freak's Night Before the Kentucky Game, admittedly off topic thread

Bit of a somber night and morning before the game. My uncle who was one of the biggest lady vols fans you could ever meet unexpectedly passed away this week, he was also a die hard basketball fan of my old school who I will be coaching my first game for tomorrow (jamboree technically) before his funeral. Do wish he would have got to see it.
Sorry. Somber indeed. I'll bet he was one of your biggest fans also.

Sorry for your loss

Just saw the movie Conclave here in Jensen Beach FL. Amazing how much voting on a Pope and voting on the President of the United States have in common.

Go Vols!!

Back here in the the motherland after a rough couple weeks. Rotator cuff and a distal clavicle excision performed and now rehab. Still up in pigeon forge and going to watch the boys whip that kitty kat behind!

Beautiful fall weather and all! Using the same setup we used for the Alabubba win!

In Gulfport MS at our favorite casino.

Sporting an orange UT shirt and black T hat.

Our third grand being christened Sunday so will head to Nola tomorrow. Will find a sports bar to watch the game. I generally prefer to watch at home in my cocoon…but HH6 has dictated we will be at the christening. I concur. Of course 😎

Midnight. Just got home picking up my high school kids from various parties. Hitting the hay. Grabbing a 9am flight from LaGuardia and will be on campus by 1ish. Then get to tailgate and party with my oldest in Knoxvegas after thumping the cats!

I hate to see so many regulars having a relaxed weekend, as I am doing the same. I hope Neyland Stadium brings the energy - as our defense deserves. I am spending the day with my family, hopefully getting out and enjoying this weather before football comes on tomorrow.

I almost went to the game, but last minute decided I’d better heal after the yelling I did the past two games, followed by some “under the weather” symptoms for the past 10 days or so. I am so appreciative that we are in November and still know we’re in the championship race. I feel guilty for not going up to Knoxville to give what I can for the Vols.

Watched the Hope Solo documentary on Netflix tonight. Hoping the Vols can channel her beast mode tomorrow night. What a talent and competitor. Good watch if you’re looking for an hour of entertainment.

Taking our daughter to a cattle drive in the morning and just hanging with her until it’s time to watch the go Vols, as she calls it. Papa let’s watch the go Vols. She could say it a million times and it will never get old.

Graham Sampson threw fo 629 yards and 8 touchdowns shattering his brother’s passing yards, broke the state’s passing yards in a game in all of the classifications. I did see Ty Simpson there at the game, but someone was with him tonight. Jaylen Milroe was also there to watch him play. Martin won the game 59-54 in a shootout. It was a great game all in all.

I HIGHLY recommend Cooter Brown’s in New Orleans

Oysters on the half shell and like 75 different beers.

Yes sir. Been there a couple times and enjoyed it. Beer coolers lined up against the wall are something else!

This weekend is about our granddaughter though so probably won’t make it there this time. But will go again in the future!

They finally got over the Covington hurdle. You knew Simpson was a bust with how he was outscored 101-7 in 2 games against them...

Both those teams might actually give Alcoa a game in the 3A final
