First boat trip this year....brought my boat up and will probably watch from there with the the elderly, the young, the invalid, the lazy, the not real VFL fans....
Roasted bison rump meat yesterday. Sliced it and vacuum sealed it with Food saver to seal freshness. Shirley said I was just showing off. Got Stubbs mesquite barbeque sauce ready to smother the meat in when I unseal it. Might add a tablespoon or two of Jamaican rum to give the sauce some real flavor. Got tomatoes, lettuce, jalapeno slices, onion slices, all to make my version of a bison sandwich.
Shirley will be spoiling the eating by serving a raw vegetable platter of broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, bell pepper, and celery with onion dip (I think).
Budweiser Black Crown is the drink, but only because I couldn't get my hands on the Schiltz which has now gone back to its original recipe so it worth drinking again.
