Freedom to Vote Act Fails

Elections are so sacred we have to do everything we can to keep people from them.
Elections are so sacred that they should require no or minimal effort? That flies in the face of what sacred usually means. Usually sacred means you have to go out of your way to uphold it. You plan around it, you go without for it, you deny other non sacred tasks to ensure the sacred is upheld. Sacred is typically a higher standard, but you are lowering the standard.

They should have Election Day off, if we want them to actively participate in a representative democratic republic.

Its funny, somehow we've been able to get for decades to go vote, now suddenly its impossible to take off. You libs are complete whack jobs.

There are already laws on the books that afford peoples opportunity to vote. In Tennessee for example, if you're scheduled to work during voting hours you are allowed to leave and get paid on the employers dime to vote.

It is now easier to vote than at any time in our history - there are more options and less restrictions on other than live voting options than ever

That's why this bill wasn't about voting it was about less internal controls to make it easier to bend and break rules, and for the federal government to circumvent state laws.

Sayonara bill.

Then we need an educated electorate. Simply making it easier for the uneducated to vote is not going to move us forward. You can't run a country based on the ideas/votes of the dumbest among us

We are now experiencing exhibit A of this hypothesis. Alas though ... the dumbest among us are still insisting that we are/can.
