It's actually a good thing. The offense will clearly be different, so no needs for the dual threat types. I'd interested to see if dormady stays. He was the only pocket passer on the team. That's why he sucked so bad trying to be a dual threat. A pro style system would fit his skills better.

It was just a whole lot better deal for Martinez at Neb. They told him he is their guy to come and start day 1. Can't wait to see who we offer.

Is Weinke on staff? Saw an article a couple days ago saying he may not come with Pruitt.

There were reports yesterday stating that Chris Weinke may not even be on staff. It said he may be weighing his options with an FSU position.

I noticed half of the posts in this thread were basically, in a roundabout way, saying trust Pruitt's system and everything is fine. Maybe Pruitt did tell them to kick rocks, but it's unnerving to have both your current QB's decommit knowing you only have three scholarship QB's on campus and one is very apt to transfer. I trust CJP, and really liked the hire, but that does not mean I'll not worry about a situation like this!

I remember when Currie was in the Bahamas and people suggested that he had already had his man. Well I said that we are giving Currie too much credit and I was right. I feel the same way about peoples thought on CJP

Why have them on the team if they don't fit the system? Don't Just offer to say we offered. Wait till you find who fits the criteria you are looking for. We have 3 qb's on team, use them till Mr. Right is found.

I know Frost is a great offensive mind and all, but bringing Martinez in to start day one seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Probably just a recruiting pitch.

I damn sure wouldn't want a coach telling me I'm the day 1 starter. He's either feeding me a bunch of BS to get me there or is telling me I won't have to earn the job. Either way he's doing more hindering than helping. You tell kids that then they get on campus and if they don't start they instantly go to screaming the coach is a liar and they start looking to transfer. Really doubt Frost told him that.

I just don't see Frost telling his QB or any player that. I can see him saying you're my guy and won't bring in another QB this class but not that he's the starter the second he gets to campus.

Currie did have his guy. He knew he was going to hire Schiano but the fanbase made sure that wasn't gonna happen.He knew for weeks it was gonna be Schiano and had been in the works for weeks. Luckily he was waiting till the season was over and people caught wind of it before He could try and get it finalized. Although I sure Fulmer would have gotten with Davenport and made sure she didn't sign off on it. We dodged a huge bullet on that.

So you going to be okay then when all the current players transfer because they aren't a good fit?

If so, then are you okay with waiting 4 to 5 years to win??

Let's just cancel the next three seasons until the new coach can bring in enough kids to field the team.
