That you Nick? Anyways, when you only play 2 challenging games per year, and one you never lose to, well, add it up.Over the 6 years, the roster hasn't been as good as it was this year. 7-10 coaches would have gone better than 70-10 in this span?
I'm not defending the guy, I personally think he's a turd. You'd be very hard-pressed to find anyone that can go 70-10 at any program. Throw in a national championship also
He won’t leave OSU for another college job unless he really falls off recordwise. He isn'tgoing anywhere right now because there isn't an opening worthy of him taking. If you were Alabama, and 2 years from now, OHST still hasn't beat Michigan but makes it to the playoffs every year, would you hire Day? I think they absolutely would. Those Michigan losses don't mean anything if you have the NC pedigree to go with your name.

There are NFL jobs open that he may be interested in. Never know.He isn'tgoing anywhere right now because there isn't an opening worthy of him taking. I couldn't agree more. A friend of mine and myself have been discussing this for about a month. OSU wanted him fired after the UM loss this year. Day's teams have only lost 10 games in 6 years and 3 more games as interim HC. I don't know of any coach OSU could get better besides Saban that is now retired. My buddy and myself said we would leave OSU after winning a NC this year and get a ton of money somewhere else if we were Day before OSU did indeed win the NC! But, not many schools are going to pay about $25 million in NIL money for football like OSU did this year.Day might be looking to get out of there after this win. Maybe he is tired of the osu fans hating him because he can't beat michigan
No, you can't! But, please give it a try and put down the list. It would be interesting to see. Either way, it is going to be an opinion, not facts. No one knows how any other coach would have fared at OSU the last 6 years. But, I have doubts there are any coaches that could have lost less than 10 games in 6 years, especially after the two extra games OSU played this year!I could probably name 7-10 coaches who would have fared better with the roster and staff he has had.
And what if we had been in the 4 team playoff? They would not have been in it and finished with that MI loss. Would Day be gone?In just a short time Tennessee football has gone from an embarrassing loss program to a signature win program. Thank you Josh Heupel. Not long ago, a loss to UT would put coaches on the hot seat, or lead to their firing and now a win over Tennessee is viewed as a signature win and coaches remain retained. The national sentiment has changed with how UT is viewed as an opponent. With all the talk about Day being close to the chopping block after the Michigan loss, it was amazing how quickly the tone changed after their win against UT and advancing in the playoff.
