I have to say that throughout the entire gameday experience today, I did not see any trouble from either side. Both the Vols and Gaotr fans participated with class. Aside from a little ribbing, it looked like two different teams.

It was a great game. It was one of those games that neither team really deserved to lose.

I've been hopping around on a few Gators boards, a lot of them are complaining about that call. Even if both teams got called, UT still probably would have won it. Ainge was finding every reciever down field and have little doubt that a TD could have been made in the time given. Erik's already proven to be a great pinch thrower.

They're just parroting what the ESPN JERKS had to say after the game.

Tennessee playing the Gators now.. Is more like UT vs. Tulane, now that Spurrier is gone.... Please bring back the king " Steve Spurrier".... :flush: RON ZOOK...

www.fireronzook.com

A program that took Steve Spurrier 12 years to build, but only took 2 months for Zook to destroy...

LIO I totally agree ESPN sucks and so do the CBS broadcasters. The only reason those jerks were whining after the game is because they ALL picked the gators to win before the game started.

Gator=== that is a bunch of crap it took 2 months to destroy. Zookie inherited an awesome program it's just that at the end of the night Tennessee walked away with the big "W" and Fla walked away with the big "L". Don't take away from the game because of Zook it was a good game, especially since THE VOLS WON!!!!!

just so you know this is not meant to be antagonistic I'm just stating my opinion.

It's hard to replace a Spurrier. No one could fill his shoes.

It's always been interesting to me that Gator fans would welcome back Spurrier today and do not seem to hold any anomosity toward him for basically taking the money and running to the NFL; leaving them with Zook.

Spurrier is to Florida what "The Bear" was to Bama, he could've took a big crap in the middle of the Swamp and they would welcome him back.

I'm pretty sure Zook craps on the field after every loss.

I have to admit I was really aggrivated after the game, but I tip my hat to the Vols. They played great and made the plays when they had to. Maybe we'll get you guys next year. Hopefully we'll be able to pull out a great season, as Im sure you guys will.

Did you guys hear about how the refs actually admitted their mistake? Thats a step ahead of what the ACC refs did last year! :haha_oh:

No offense, Josh ( I promise) but that call, bad or not, didn't cost UF the game. Nobody's griping about the fact that UF got to the ONE-YARD line and couldn't capitalize on it. Nor has anyone groused about the missed field goal by your kicker. We outran, outmuscled, outcoached and flat-out outplayed y'all. I appreciate your coming on here and being so classy and all, but if you promise not to mention THAT CALL again, I promise not to mention Jabar Gaffney again.

;)

I'm currently on my third viewing of the game and every time I watch it I feel my loyalty to Casey Clausen quietly slipping away.

Well obviously you won but I would hesistate to say that you outmuscled and outplayed the Gators. I do admit you had our number for a few drives (namely the first quarter), but we made some great adjustments to stop the run later on. I really felt like the Vols couldnt stop our passing game, and likewise when it mattered we couldnt stop yours. So I really wouldnt say you totally outplayed us, because we could have easily pulled out a victory had we capitolized on the 1 yard line/ 4th and 6.

And Ill be the first to admit that the Gaffney call probably wasnt a catch. The ref was just in a crappy position. I just really think the SEC needs instant replay.

My :twocents:

I don't. Instant replay sucks. The refs are paid to excercise their best judgement on the field. They need to call plays then and there, if they don't, all that will happen is more stoppage of the clock (as if regulations don't already allow enough of that in college ball).

evrybody wants instant replay when the call doesn't go their way, but i say leave that junk for the payed atheletes it doesn't belong in college footbal  :twocents:
