Deepak Chopra been smokin' tha hookah

A critical moment: Why we need President Obama

One of the virtues of being on the liberal side of politics is that total obedience isn't required. There are no hidden agendas. Ideology doesn't lead to unreason.

Liberal politics is based on a non-regimented, all-inclusive approach to democracy. Freedom of thought is paramount.

It was such a relief to return to humane, non-ideological governance when President Obama won in 2008

He did get one sentence right re: GOP Congressmen and their fear of losing their seats.

Chondra should stick to spirituality and steer clear of politics.

Wow, when your spiritual guru starts channeling riffs from the bourgeoisie you know your world view is in Deepak trouble....

Let's make no mistake, Obama is far right of center. He represents the adult version of the bourgeoisie; Newt, Palin, and George Jr are faces of the kiddie version. That Deepak lends voice to the fantasy that Obama has freed us from our regimentation and the strict discipline accepted (and lines toed) by the educated, managerial class, that our politics is somehow now sane and humane is all part of the bourgeois conditioning program.

And deepakly divorced from the real world outside the back door.

Yeah, we really need Obama to take a huge leap to the left. All his right wing lunacy is ruining the country.

Seriously. There needs to be at least 20 a day. Dropping them in the football forum really classes up the joint. It'd be nice if some could be worked into the video game forum.

Nope, I'm talking straight-up bourgeoisie...

The petty bourgeoisie are long, long gone.

Of course, to be bourgeois only requires believing with all the power of your soul that economic rationality should reign supreme in human life. Although many are bourgeois only a very, very select few constitute the bourgeoisie.

Gibbs got a hold of Deepak's stash and snorted it.

WOW... ease up on the sarcasm.

It's far from sarcastic.

He's right of center, as are most Democrats. The Progressive Caucus is slightly left of center, but they are decided minority (and comprised of minorities) in rank and file Democrats.

He is to the left of the irresponsible Republicans, and farther to the left of the real nutters like Norquist et al.

It's not surprising at all that you would consider Obama "right of center" given that you'd eat the corn out of Castro's dung just to kiss the arse it came from.
