Do it.

There should be a rift between us and them anyway.

This ain't no mutual admiration society. It's war.

We are a funny lot. When Kiffhole left and Ol' Ed was calling all of our recruits, everyone was mad as heck. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, all's fair in love and war.

I'm sure Bama has plenty of recruits to fill any holes made by Pruitt and Co. I dont feel sorry for them at all if they cant fill the holes or dont sign a full class.

Never had a problem with them recruiting 'our' recruits. Now the whole calling them the night before classes start and telling them not to go to class was a bit over the top, IMO..

GTFOH. Kiffin bolted in the middle of the night with no notice. Pruitt is staying on to fulfill his commitment to his current players. Not even the same thing.

He should recruit and do what is necessary to make his new team better. Saban should know this and if he doesn’t like it there is nothing stopping him from releasing Pruitt immediately.

Worrying about riffs is stupid. Like someone else said, this is war.

They were talking to recruits already enrolled and on campus. Do you not see the difference? Also they were calling said recruits on phones provided by UTAD. Again, do you not see the difference?

There’s a point in there somewhere.

One of my best friends is a coach at the highest level. He had the same thing happen, He’s as good a guy as you will ever meet. But he made a terrible decision and had to own it. I’m sure Viloria is the same. Damn, these coaches are human as well

I would agree with a previous poster.... it takes years to determine if this guy made a “terrible decision” this one time or has a serious problem ......way to early to tell...

I read the same post. Seems to be some good info here, and the fact that Simonton seemed to give it some weight makes it likely a lot of this is more than just conjecture...

Not remotely the same situation. You surely know this.

Losing our footing in the state of South Carolina is one big reason the rise of present day Clemson. Sure looking for this staff to really recruit SEC caliber players again.

How about losing our footing in our own back yard to Clemson? Amari Rogers, Tee Higgins and probably Cade Mays the last 2 years. That's 2 - 5*'s and a 4*.

I think this is more a function of Rogers being chapped because his dad ( who he probably sees 0 times a year ) doesn't feel the love from UT. Without question, Rogers recruited Higgins away from UT and for all i know may have encouraged CM as well. Not quite sure the dislike for UT but I think we have at least part of a domino effect here. With the current staff on the hill and the Southern Cal offense we would have been much more likely to attract all 3. This staff is going to be good, this offense is going to fit Rogers and Higgins much better than Botch's offense.

The problem with Rodgers was that he was never wanted at UT. All they cared about was Higgins. Rodgers is a dime a dozen midget slot WR that is too heavy to play the position.

One thing to try to take your guys with you. Another to be spiteful and tell guys to bail cause you were 'wronged'.

Where is Butchie coaching again?

Butch called recruits and said I will contact you when I land a job which is what I would expect him to do. I never read or heard him say to not attend UT because he was fired.

And i do not care if Butch ever coaches again but we as fans cannot have it both ways if you are mad at Butch for calling recruits after he was fired then you should not expect Pruitt to recruit players he recruited to Bama.

Ed O was calling kids who were already enrolled and telling them not to go to classes. Not even close to the same thing.
