I said it the other day and Paul Finebaum said the same thing yesterday. There is noise that a lot of folks in college football have been angry at FSU for publicly stating last spring that they were basically too good for the ACC and were looking to get out because of the money situation. Since there are 5 people with ACC ties on the committee (including the chairman), that sounds plausible to me.They had their chance to leave that conference twice
I see where you're going with that, but isn't that cutting off their nose to spite their face? Like FSU or not, having them in the CFP is good for the other ACC programs from a financial perspective.I said it the other day and Paul Finebaum said the same thing yesterday. Finebaum basically asked why would the committee punish probably the biggest brand in college football and reward a “renegade” program? Now I know that Finebaum is paid partly by the SEC Network and is a Bama shill but I believe that scenario played a part in the robbery.

would be just as likely those individuals, assuming they actually cared about the ACC and not just being a petty fan, would have pushed to include FSU. a happy FSU keeps the ACC together. If FSU left that would be the first domino in the death of the ACC.I said it the other day and Paul Finebaum said the same thing yesterday. ESPN should also want to keep the ACC together. They’re paying peanuts for the deal. ESPN is already having financial issues. I doubt they’d Want to fork over more $$ in the event that the ACC ever wanted to renegotiate or even the has capability of finding the cash that would come along w/ adding 2 or 4 more schools to the SEC.would be just as likely those individuals, assuming they actually cared about the ACC and not just being a petty fan, would have pushed to include FSU. a happy FSU keeps the ACC together. having FSU in also helps the ACC credibility in general if its not just Clemson making the playoffs.
Funny you never applied that principle to anything related to a certain former reality TV personality turned politician.Conspiracy amongst five committee members to retaliate for comments made a year ago knocking the ACC?
Or enough committee members felt like the vast, vast majority of football-viewing public that Alabama is a better football team than FSU?
Occam's razor invoked.
