Can you believe FSU was ranked 31st on Scout's final poll? The only problem is if Miami and FSU doesn't start winning again, the gators are going to rack up every year. Miami wasn't in the top ten.

I think Miami will definitely pick it up if Shannon has success. FSU could turn it around if all of their hires produce(Jimbo, Amato, Bunting?). They may continue to slide until Bobby leaves though.

Your right HV, but hard to imagine them sliding with that coaching staff in place now.

do FSU fans feel about bowden like we (some of us) feel about fulmer?

I've seen a few different articles where Fulmer has stated that he doesn't want to coach football until he dies. I even saw one where he speculated that he would retire within the next five years, but I think he wants to go out on top. If he can get us to another NC, he's out. I think that he might even go after a SEC title if he doesn't see a promising nucleus for the next season.

I don't think he's gonna just up and randomly jump ship, but I also don't think he'll stay nearly as long as B Bowden or Joe Pa.

i think he will retire in the next 5 years at least

i say ill be happy when that happens but at least i know hes stable. who knows what happens when we hire someone else. we've been lucky so far with coaches...as long as we never turn into alabama

Yeah, just turn the reigns over to Cutcliffe or Trooper

Some will only realize how valuable Fulmer is whenever he's gone.

I've never complained about Fulmer ever. He's a great coach. He just coaches in the toughest conference in the nation. You can't win NCs every year in the SEC. Randy Sanders pissed away alot of talent while he was here. That is only blemish Fulmer has had on his record here (in my eyes) is letting Sanders stay too long.

UT has a track record of being first in minority advancement

I am not disputing that at all and yes he is an excellent coach, just making a point that it will be a problem for some with the mentality still living in the early 1900's.

If Troop gives them an NC, you'll see alligator shoes and full-length minks in the streets of Bell Bottom, Pulaski, and Townsend.

Nobody will care.
