After the exodus of Dooley, I remember Fuad Reveiz spit quite a bit of venom towards Dooley, much more so than I would say a radio personality probably should. It appeared quite personal.
After the game on Saturday, it was brought up again. He almost seethed when he recounted hearing Derek Dooley tell Palardy, "don't ***** it up" as he was going out on the field to take a kick, and how CBJ's approach lends itself to a much more consistent player.
Anyone know why he's still all bent out of shape given that Dooley has moved on? It just sort of struck me as add that we had just won a great game, and he was still railing on the old coach.
Who the fuad is Fuad Reveiz?
Needs to get over it and move on
Better times are ahead. UT finally has a real football coach.
That being said, every Vol fan for a generation has every right to bash Dooley with as much humor or as much venom as they desire. Bashing Dooley should never get old. It should be part and parcel of Vol culture for the next 20 years.
Dooley was just that bad. He has earned it. To do less would be to diminish his legacy.

Actually, Mike Hamilton is the one who should be forever bashed. Dooley was just an incompetent opportunist taking advantage of the largesse that Hamilton was throwing around fired coaches, his hires, like there was no tomorrow. It is hard to think of any coach that Hamilton hired who had any real success, unless one considers Pearl and his NCAA baggage to be success. And, even with Pearl, UT paid a pretty big NCAA price for that. So, Hamilton is the one deserving 365, 24/7 bashing and yet it is he who will "escape," and seems to already have, his asinine, program destructive, coaching hires, like Dooley.

While I agree that Hamilton shares some blame, people don't need to "bash" anyone. Mistakes were made. That is in the past, and no one can do anything about it. It won't help to bash anyone. Mike Hamilton is a good man, and new story that came out about him is inspiring. He could have retired and counted his money, but he didn't. He didn't make some decisions because he wanted UT to fail- they just turned out bad after the fact. Get over it- move on.

Butch replacing Dooley is like passing a kidney stone. If the pain hadn't been so intense, the feeling of relief wouldn't be so good.
