Fulkerson Appreciation

Really amazed by Fulky at certain times,I like him a lot. He just isn't consistent at giving that kind of production every night.JMO
I disagree. He shows up every game and hustles, plays good D, and takes the shots presented him. Post players have to be fed the ball properly from the perimeter players. We have been woefully inconsistent this season in that regard due to injuries and youth.
Amazing how clueless people are due to preconceived notions and stereotypes.

Unfortunately many ignorant folks think white = unathletic.
Imagine if he got a mohawk! The Fulkhawk!
Wish he’d do something different with his hair so that he wouldn’t be messing with it all game long. Even Petty’s hairstyle doesn’t have him messing with it all the time

Fulkerson had 22 points in last nights win against Bama.

He’s really developed a nice offensive skill set. There’s no quit in his game.

Hope he continues to do great things.

I am not sure if JF will be an NBA level talent (it won’t be from lack of heart), but he will definitely be making 6 figures playing international ball somewhere once his UT career is over. He has quickly become one of my all-time favorite BBALL VOLS.

He reminds me of a Sabonis type of player. Both tall lefties with good field goal percentages. Fulkerson needs to add some muscle and range though if he wants to make the NBA.

I would like to see him start shooting his jump shot from around 15 feet a little more. He can make that shot. The defense is starting to lay off anticipating his drive to the basket.

I hope he makes all conference.
Agree. That needs to become a weapon for him next year like it did for Grant Williams. Right now, Fulk seems to use it as a last resort, but he is more than capable of making that a primary part of his game.

Good post. Barnes has shown he can help his guys develop the mid range game. If JF can do that, he may get a spot on a roster.

I have heard it all now. Fans worried about a players hair. I could care less as long as he keeps playing the way he has.

I’ve heard it said that bigs who are good at free throws the NBA views as being capable of developing a 3 point shot? Fulky is hitting his free throws.

What if he's like Samson with the hair? Peeps should be careful wishing he would do something with it. Anyway, it's probably getting close to man-bun length.

Or wear a Ron Slay headband or a skull cap or a do rag or a pony tail...anything that can keep him from messing with it all the time.

Fulkerson will play in the NBA after his career is over at UT.
If he can continue to increase his range, I suppose it is possible. I also think he needs to get stronger by quite a bit. Last time I noticed, he can still get pushed around quite a bit by some players.

I am just glad he got his shooting confidence back. Last year, it didn't seem like he could hit anything past about 2 feet.

Yeah I like Fulkerson. He plays hard and is very underrated in my opinion. I am glad he is on this team.

Amazing how clueless people are due to preconceived notions and stereotypes. Fulkerson has tremendous talent and athleticism. His movements are jerky jerky and look akward at times. That is not a measure of athleticism. At 6'9 he is fast and has great length and vertical. He does that quick spin move and quickly finds the rim and finishes at the rim, that takes coordination. Those are measures of talent and athleticism. Now Plasvic is what it looks like when somebody lacks athleticism. He does not move well or jump well. His coordination is not strong.
Well said, man. There is nothing wrong with awkward if the numbers and results are there.
