Fulky update

I'm not sure what you mean by saying he was never the same after the injury his freshman year (against Lipscomb).

True, it took him quite some time to fully recover...two years, really...but he had only played 10 games in his career before the injury. He had an entire career afterwards (5 additional years), one of which saw him become an All-SEC player.
Like TGO said in the post above, never quite saw that athleticism again, imo

Between the blatant cheap shot by that Florida player, and then Covid, Fulky had a lot of adversity to overcome - he did pretty good with it, but seemed to never quite fully recover after the covid diagnosis. If he could have filled out and kept up his growth, rather than being sick, I think he would have finished his SEC career with national prominence.

My one regret for Fulkerson was not seeing what a heathy Fulky could have done those last two years. Just a dog who always came ready to play.
Last two years? I am pretty sure poor ole Fulky dealt with injuries every year but one during his tenure here. I think he led the team in scoring and rebounding that year. What a great VFL plus he is from East Tennessee.
