I watched it for the first time in probably 20 years. Was bored to tears and finally turned it off about 30 minutes before the end.
Are you one of those snowlfakes who can't sit through any over 15 minutes?

Obviously not, as I said I didn't turn it off until the last 30 minutes. Pretty sure it was longer than 45 minutes.

Are you one of those internet tough guys that is so stupid you can't even troll well?

I'm both. Real life and internet tough guy. Especially towards you sensitive type.

If by Sensitive you mean embarrassed that I'm in this conversation, you are correct.

Trolls used to actually have a conversation and beat me with their intelligent schtick and both entertain me and teach me. Now Freak let's anyone through the doors now and this is what I'm left with.

"You don't like my movie, you're a snowflake poopyhead. And your sensitive. I'll kick your ass in real life"

Lol, come back when, never mind.

Since we’re still here, I’ll add this: It’s definitely not one of those movies that is exciting to watch over and over. While there are plenty of lines that make for comedy out of context, the movie is a drama that loses its luster after you know what happens.

I'll also add there are some haunting images in the second half. The idea of Vietnam being nothing but mindless chaos is expressed very well. There is not supposed to be a plot it is supposed to be meandering nothingness.

You get your kicks in weird ways, dude.
Just responding to you guys that are so tore up over my opinion of a movie. You must enjoy it or you'd have left it alone.

I don't care I'll do this as long as you want to.

I loved it the first time I saw back 30 years ago and even remember enjoying it the last time I saw it. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for certain things and don't realize it it right away. Might watch it tonight and like it.

But movies aren't life to me, they're just entertainment. One of my all time favorites is Young Guns. I'm sure most here think that's laughable, and I couldn't care less.

The movie as a whole was very good. Sure after all the comedic/drama filled drill sergeant scenes the movie takes on a different mood but that’s just part of the progression of a film in general. If you really want to be picky you can take 45 minutes out of EVERY Quinten Tarantino film and it’d be better than the original and you wouldn’t need an intermission.
