Halfback and Tailback are same position. Hback is for hybrid back. Combo fullback & tight end

Nobody uses fullback in high school or anywhere else. Alabama, GA, Clemson and Oklahoma certainly do not.

They all have someone playing fullback in goal line and short yardage situations. It may be a bigger RB, or a blocking TE but it's someone that can pave the way or carry the ball right up the middle to gain a few inches, feet or yards.

Using a dt as a fb on the goal line is pretty common now. And play action throw to him is fairly successful if not overused.

An argument can be made that Auburn, Clemson, and even TN in 16 all used a fb in their base formation
