Firing Fulmer didnt get us those guys. You realize in 08 we could have had Brian Kelly and in 09 Kevin Sumlin. UT mad horrible hires, doesnt mean wrong decision was made about Fulmer. I think it should have been done differently, but still...

You are 100% right.Kelly wanted the job and Hamilton chose Kiffin.

It's time to stop listening to the negavols, the same goobers who got Phil fired in the first place.

You see where that got us. It got us Kiffy and Dooley.

Let's just hire him back. It's time to admit the mistake, bring him back, and lift this damnable curse that's been on us since we dumped him.

Move on....you are living in the past along with the other Fulmerites....geez

Dumb! Fulmer was steadily running the program into the ground. Just because Hamilton screwed up and hired 2 clowns, it doesn't mean Fulmer shouldn't have been fired.

Do people not realize what UTs records were from the 60s through the 90s? There were so many more 3 and 4 loss seasons than 1 and 2 loss seasons. There were also 7 loss seasons strewn about. So to say he was running it into the ground is one of the dumbest statements. If anything, he just leveled off to what it used to be after taking it up so high. But he did not run it into the ground.

Thing is, if Phil had not believed his presss clippings, and hired a top OC when Cut left---he would STILL BE AT UT!

As someone pointed out to me woulda, coulda and shouda doesn't count. So it was the wrong move.

If the argument worked then 2007 SECCG wasn't his fault.

Loss to LSU by one TD if you remember. If so, you should remember our QB Eric Ainge throwing 2 int.'s in the 4th QTR.

If he wins that game everyone's argument of him not winning the big game is how the window.

How could you fire a coach the year after winning the SECCG.

With that being said, can we just have one day to honor our great coach who gave his all for Tennessee.

LET"S KEEP IT POSITIVE PLEASE.

This is a day we should honor the man. If you don't have anything nice to say well don't say anything at all.

If nothing else show some respect and a little class.

I would say he got it today from those that get it. He doesn't need mine or any other clowns respect from a fans website.

Congrats coach.

That's exactly what it means, unless you think Phil would have done worse the last four years than Kiffy and Dooley did.

Since you called me dumb, I'll type slowly for you...

Unless firing coach Fulmer improved our situation, it was a mistake to fire him.
