Sounds like a big ol lack of Confidence of CPF if the only person he will hire is someone who has already been on the staff and left to have his own program. Also seems like a big ol lack of Confidence in CDC if he has to be hired back into a program he left and could not make it as a HC. I really think this is a sorry situation for both the football team and for the coaches involved. Am I the only one around here that thanks this is a bad idea? :twocents:

have you guys ever heard such crap,  why doesn't he just hire Cut and get it over with.  i think everbody in the state of tennessee knows it is coming.  what do you guys think,  do you think he is really evaluating offensive coordinators or is he just blowing us aline of crap to drag it out till the end of the season.  it sounds like typical fulmer double talk,  i don't think he is evaluating anybody.

Smokedog, I think you hit it right on the head. CPF is just going through the "red tape" with no intentions of hiring anyone but Cut. I may be wrong but I have the feeling that it was Cut all along. I just wish UT would veer away from the "good ol' boy" syndrome and for once "honestly" look outside the "family". I know Cut is a good coach and may be the best selection. I just get tired of the same old routine of promoting in-house. It would be nice if CPF could and would think "outside the box".

If only Archie could have convinced Olivia, "One more, honey. What do you say?"

What happens when you have inbreeding?? You get mutations, our offense looks like a mutant to me.

Phil needs to look outside but it is not going to happen.

To me, our offense looks like Ronnie Milsap trying to decide whether Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles is more sober to drive home.

The Good Ol' Boy system will remain in place as long as Fulmer is in charge. If Fulmer retired or was canned then and only then can there be an end to the GOB system.
