shockingly says he wasn't aware Foster took money
Fulmer says he wasn't aware of Foster getting paid | College Football

"As the head coach at Tennessee for 17 years, I took great pride in having a program that was NCAA compliant, as did our staff and administration," Fulmer said in a statement released to the Associated Press on Sunday. "If we knew of a violation, big or small, we reported it."

Better than: "I don't know if this will cause a problem....... But I personally paid him"

Yeah right, I bet he's the one who brought the infamous tacos. Foster had 4, Fulmer had 46

Still think "Phil" jokes are funny? Do you think Kiffin will be the one to bring us back to the top? Do you think EB14 will break the int return yards record this season?

This line from the ESPN article about Fulmer's comments are a bit concerning...

"Generally, the NCAA has a four-year statute of limitations on allegations. But if the NCAA determines there are extenuating circumstances in this case such as a pattern of behavior, it could subject Tennessee to another investigation and potentially more penalties."

The irony of Foster's ridiculous rant is that he is now making millions while Fulmer is and has been out of coaching since Foster left. I guess he thinks he should have been given a Lexus while at UT and is pissed that all he got was Tacos. Hell I didn't know Pterodactyl's even like tacos.

you aren't far off. I heard an interview several months back with Dan Patrick where he talked about coaches making millions and players getting nothing

Seriously? Thats the dumbest thing an athlete can say.

Yeah I remember it pretty vividly but I can't find the link..Dan was asking him if he had been back to UT and he said he really didn't know anyone there anymore and didn't have a reason to return..that sorta opened up the questions about college and money..surprised it didn't get more talk back then

Should student-athletes be GIVEN a living wage? In this era of equality and all that I fully support that just as soon as they give one to all of the OTHER non-athlete students. No one is paying the non-athlete students' college education unless they can get some partial scholarships. If you can't afford to go to college with a FREE ATHLETIC scholarship then maybe you need to do what other students do--get a job, borrow the money, or don't go to college until they can afford it. Since apparently everybody and their brother are getting food stamps, sign up!

And while I'm at it, how does that iphone5 taste? Funny how some athletes don't have money for food but they have the latest iphone, ear buds, and music to blast in their brain...just sayings. I know, I know, I'm guilty of inferring that ugly word--responsibility. Who knew?

And for those who say that the student-athlete is making money for the university, it seems to me that aside from the free education they receive they are also receiving a stage to display their skills in prime time where they can excel and receive credit/compensation in the life after college. I doubt there have been many potential student-athletes "Discovered" in back-lot playgrounds who were suddenly drafted or drafted right out of high school into the NFL. If subsistence is the issue then issue them a meal card along with their scholarship if they don't receive one now.

"As the head coach at Tennessee for 17 years, I only provided sacks of 50 tacos per person a week."
