Fulton vs Catholic

Fulton's 2,000yd rusher who is also a key DB didn't play. Their QB was also not 100% from last weeks game.

I realize that, also knew that the QB hurt his shoulder at the tail end of their previous game.

Catholic has been without J. Anderson the last half of the season, arguably their best all around player as well as the Rogers kid who is their most gifted albeit frosh running back. That's football.

The deficiency I'm speaking of has nothing to do with the DB's, but the LB's in pass coverage.

Congrats to Fulton and good luck the rest of the way.

Fultons 2,000 yard rusher is done for the season. Giles county may have themselves another gold ball this year. Their only two losses were to Ensworth and CPA (playing Alcoa in the championship).

You can't compair the two. Rollins-Davis is an all state player and Mr. Football finalist.

I'm not comparing anything and I mean no disrespect at all, sorry if it came off that way.

All I'm saying is that nobody is fully loaded at this time of the year. Mr. Davis is a great running back, Hawkins is a game changer where ever he lines up, Cooperwood good golly...Fulton made the adjustment to put Hawkin's at QB/wildcat in the 3rd qtr. which was smart and it paid off. Fulton's gonna be fine.

I didn't take it that way. All I'm saying is Rollins-Davis is a game changer. Not sure if a LB could have helped last night. Fulton had the deep ball whenever they wanted it Smith was just off. But that game is over and one left to win. Some said Fulton would fold once someone challenged them but that's not been the case. I'm sure the Giles game will be a good one and I'm sure Fulton will have times when they will struggle. Hopefully Smith can heal a little and throw the ball better Saturday.

There were definitely times where Fulton's WR's got behind the defense, but I think most of the time the QB was under pressure, having to throw on the run.

Smith can keep the play alive, and not many DB's can hang with that kind of speed.

I don't think the concern for Fulton should be on the offensive side of the ball, putting points on the board is not a problem.

OR, they may not. Certainly, if FHS doesn't have Rollins, it would have an impact, but FHS has other capable players, particularly Hawkins, and FHS won't roll over for a Giles County. With Rollins, FHS would arguably be at least one td better than GHS and maybe 2 td's. Rollins is that explosive. Without him? Someone has some big shoes to fill.

I'm more concerned with the health of QB Penny Smith. Fulton has enough athletes on the outside. If Fulton can't throw it then teams will load it up on them on the line. Fulton's backups don't have the speed of Rollins-Davis to get to the corner. I would try to pound it with 257 lb DJ Campbell to open up the pass but that's just me. Looks like they will ride Hawkins the rest of the way though.
