When we went up 52-51 with 5:30 left, UK got 6 offensive rebounds and 4 defensive rebounds - 10 rebounds total. UT had 0 rebounds in the last 5:30 of the game.

It's not like Harrelson had to fight for any rebounds during this time; more like "look what I found."

I bet Cam was standing there watching you put those stats together too.

Flaw in the thread Title. It should have read NOT FUN! I was so ticked to see someone ungifted as Harrelson get rebounds. That dude is a joke.

Hall and Pearl overmatched. They don't know how to box out or rebound. Best two rebounders were sitting with Pearl - Williams and Maymon.

Jones and Harrelson are #1 and #2 in the league on the boards, which makes it that much more crucial that the rebounding effort was there for UT, which it was not. No way to say its a game changer, but I think Williams presence was missed.

***Edit*** Yes, what he said. ^^^

Ticked me as well, but hustle trumps talent when the effort isn't there. Harrellson was 2nd in the conference in rebounding coming into this game, only behind one of his teammates. Not much of a joke, cause it sure isn't funny now.

That is exactly how I saw it too. Both sides scraping for rebound but it literally bounced off the rim, over the UT player, and into Harrelson's hands. Frustrating, but I saw Vols fighting for the ball.

Rebounding seemed to be the real difference maker in this game and the announcers never seemed to give us any stats on the subject.

Interesting stat. Thanks for posting.

Define "gifted". Is he as much of a joke as some of our "more talented" players sitting on the bench watching him beat us?

A poster just put it perfectly. I believe it was Dyron Nix. Balls would go straight to the guy. I guess you are right he has a gift (free rebounds). Balls just fall in his lap.

Dane Bradshaw was the last UT player, I remember, that watched the ball and anticipated the bounce off the rim. Too many guys watching, then reacting, to where the ball goes on this team. Anticipation and instincts are severely lacking with this crew.

Have to block out, period. We don't - ever.

If Williams played we would've won easy
