Fun little stat about the last 5:30 of the UK game...

Anyone who thinks we won't miss Williams need only watch a replay of today's game to see the difference he makes. We just didn't have that "big" down low that was needed to grab some key rebounds and take up space. I really think this thing goes the other way with him in the game.

We had another big bodied rebounder - Maymon sitting on the bench watching the likes of Pearl and Hall--who were on the court -- watching Ky rebound. If you look at rebounds per minutes played Maymon's numbers are comparable to Williams and he boxes out better than the rest of the crew. His rebounding instincts are much better as well imo. He also brings a physical presence that others lack.

Someone with time check out his +/- numbers for the Kentucky game because we made hay when he was in and sunk like a rock when he was out. He needs some polish but people do not push him around period and he has really good feet for a big guy. If he had played more minutes this year he could have really helped.

There were multiple times during the game yesterday that had Williams been on the floor, the outcome of the play would have been different. Regardless of what anyone says, it hurt not having him and probably cost us the game

Second in the SEC is not "ungifted". Losing all of the 50-50 balls, rebounds at the end, plus not having a shooter killed the Vols.

Hope against hope that we can start a run now. I watched recordings of the Pitt and Villanova games this weekend and it dawned on me that we have the same players that we had then, except for Williams. How can the results be so different?

If Williams played we would've won easy

I don't know how easy it would have been, but I agree. No reason to dwell on what might have been. Tennessee just needs to go out there and win the SEC championship. It would really help with seeding in the tournament.

I'd like to see the stat of how many times Kentucky players hit the floor for loose balls compared to the Vols...

It had to be a 5-1 ratio.
