Yep, we lived in Houston during the Cuban missile crisis, and I remember it well. Also the evacuation drill where moms lined up their cars outside the school, we all climbed into station wagons driven by complete strangers, and rode to the Piggly-Wiggly, where there was a bomb shelter basement. 1960’s disaster planning management at its finest.

Yeah, that would’ve worked.
