As a father of 3 girls, one old enough to be dating and one close to it, I'm curious how you would react if she showed up to dinner at your house with him.

*Disclaimer. I am 100% confident none of your 3 girls would be attracted to such an aesthetically talented artist. This is just a hypothetical exercise.

I'd sincerely ask him why, and try to not make a big deal out of it in front of him. I'd definitely ask my daughter why also, because I just don't understand that look.

I fully understand the rebellion in kids, so I'd keep that in mind during the talk! My oldest had a boyfriend I wasn't sure of a few years ago, but we were careful in the situation. I think I scared him off with my "dad talk". Nothing much, just don't be lazy, and if you ever hit my daughter out of anger, then I will kill you. Exception made if she's literally trying to kill you, but if you're just a woman beater, then we'll have a problem.
