At my school (in the 70's) we had Pizza Friday which was the best meal of the week by far. Mon-Thur was the progression of the chicken. Monday was baked chicken, what was left became chicken tenders on Tuesday, which would roll into Wednesday Chicken Tetrazini, for the Thursday crash of throwing the rest of the chicken into some crust and calling it Chicken Pot Pie.

The worst was the green beans, corn, and carrots. Not heated long enough to even cook it down a little. May have even been poured straight form the can. If your old enough that pizza Friday was not the best meal of the week, you were in a costly private school.
