Future SEC scheduling announced

Arky already has some bad blood with USCe ( sort of)

No there isn't, there's very little, if any (maybe even almost as little as LSU-UF)[/quote]

And there is already a rivalry between Missouri and A&M

No, not really. They came from the same conference, that was about it. (they even came from different parts in 1996, with A&M coming from the southwest conference and Missouri from the Big 8)

A&M vs USCe doesnt make much sense

Yeah, but Missouri and Arkansas makes much more sense, almost too much.

So, it looks like the Alabama Athletic Department wrote the new scheduling rule. Mr. Slive takes orders well.

Except that Bama was the school pushing hardest for the nine game schedule. So, aside from absolutely everything, your criticism is spot on.

Nvm. ..thought I read that A&M and Mizzou used to be rivals

Understandable. Were that the case, they probably would have remained playing each other

Actually if you're going there, Arkansas/Texas A&M makes the most sense because it actually has a deep history. They've played 70 times and played almost every year from the late '20s til when Arkansas joined the SEC.

Sorry, I meant cross-divisional between the 4.

Arkansas and A&M will already be playing each other each season.

I agree and wonder why they didn't do it that way? Maybe to push BIG 12 completely out?

Because they really want to try to start up Arkansas and Missouri as rivals. They share a large border, there's already some bad blood, and both need some (/some more) in-conference rivals.

I say we go all out to renew the UNC rivalry...We used to play quite a bit back in the old days....Be nice to start it up again, Travel costs would sure be cheap.

That would be nice, but I'd rather play Duke!

Ha I just realized my goof. I was thinking they were in different divisions, and was caught up in them being the 4 newest teams.

Missouri/A&M have only played 14 times, so not really that much of a rivalry. I agree it would make more sense for Mizzou/Arkansas due to proximity.
