Handed Connor Shaw his first interception of the season today.

I can't even imagine what he is going to be like in 2 years.

Cam Sutton is a lock for a 1st rnd pick in the future... He has instincts you simply can not coach into players...

I think he will make it too. He has a good coach who will keep them grounded. I thought D. Morley was reallyl good but as soon as Kiffin arrived on campus, D. Morley was in his doghouse. Kiffin played true freshmen, rather than put D. Morley in games.

Actually, Sutton and Coleman both make me think that Azzani's perception of his WR's ability is likely somewhat skewed because they can make a really good WR look average to bad.

I've been waiting on this team to really start leveraging the size of the WR corps we have....only in brief spots thus far. With North and Croom, there could be a LOT more of those clutch High Point catches. Can't make em if we don't try. And something tells me we are going to have to try next week.

We aren't going to make a living running the football against Bama. The only edge we have on their defense is the size mismatch at WR. North, Croom and (yes get him involved) Harris. Try and hurt them deep a few times, early, by going exploiting the size mismatch...and if it works, keep doing it until they prove they can stop it.

Azzanni is basing his evaulation of his WRs on how well they run their routes (if it's 10 strides and cut then don't make it 11, or 9, and cut), and how well they block, not based on whether the UT secondary has been able to cover them. And he has stated the last couple of weeks that the youngsters are getting better at both.

Coleman?

Really?

Cam Sutton does appear to have a very bright future, but Daniel Hood deserves recognition for causing the INT. He was all over the field yesterday and had Shaw running for his life on multiple plays, to especially include that one.

We have some serious talent at freshman. Also, Sutton was a 3* if I'm not mistaken. Just a friendly reminder that Butch knows what he is looking for and is a good evaluator of players. We have 2 3* freshman corners that are making plays at a big time level!

It's strange that the player I trust the most on defense is a freshman.

Our entire defense is playing great right now. Just shows what a little coaching can do. Think about what we are seeing vs. this time last year when we were giving up 600 yards a game

I read the way the sentence in the OP was structured and thought it was a joke that Shaw would still be at USCe in 2 more years. Feels like him and Murray are just about to get out of their 2nd long term deals.
